摘要

Audio Generator is an instrument that one of its functions is to generate a square signal. However, these instruments can not generate a square signal with a random amplitude in each period repetition (digital signal). This tool also can not generate a message or a character in the form of ASCII code as well as the Short Message Service (SMS) on GSM technology. This research aims to realize a system that can generate short message and the digital signal from the Personal Computer (PC). Realization of this research can be an alternative to the generation of digital signals and short messages that can be applied both in the laboratory and the other application. Using the software MATLAB 7.4., we created two simulations that can generate a short message and digital signal. Short messages and the digital signal generated were transmitted over an interface into a plant for the modulated and demodulated back. Plant used in research and realized this was. a modem Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK). Simulation of digital signal and a short message that has been realized by using MATLAB 7.4. have shown the expected results. The signal output from the simulation, both digital and short message, can be transmitted via RS- 232 interface circuit using BPSK modulator and receive by BPSK demodulator.
